It was the British explorer Sir Francis Drake who famously described Cape Town, the “Mother City” of South Africa as “the fairest cape in the whole circumference of the world”. We visit the instantly recognizable Table Mountain with its unforgettable sweeping views, taking a cable car to the top. We enjoy the unique cultural diversity of the city of Cape Town including a visit to the Aquarium and Victoria & Albert Waterfront, with an optional trip to Robben Island, previously home to the most famous prisoner in the world, Nelson Mandela. The Cape Peninsula is breathtakingly beautiful from the entertaining seals of Hout Bay and penguins on Boulder beach to where two oceans meet at Cape Point. No visit would be complete without visiting the Cape Winelands region where some of the best wines in the world are produced in the most beautiful surroundings, whilst for the kids we visit the Cheetah Park.
