From the black rock and snowcapped mountains of Ushuaia set around a placid bay, we cross the fabled Magellan straits, heading towards the wilderness at Torres del Paine, where we can hike and go in search of condors and pumas, foxes and nandus. Our great journey south begins in the world's highest capital city, La Paz. Traversing the altiplano, we pass through the colonial cities of Potosi and Sucre, before commencing our trip out onto the great expanse of the Bolivian salt flats. Then its onwards through Butch Cassidy territory, and we continue to head south as we descend in altitude to the pretty Argentinian town of Salta. Following the Andes ever further south, we pass vast golden deserts before arriving into Argentina's wine capital, Mendoza. One last trip takes us across the back of the Andes, the silhouette of Aconcagua towering over us, and we arrive into our final destination: the cosmopolitan city of Santiago de Chile.

Journeying from the European influenced city of Buenos Aires, home of Evita and birthplace of the Tango, we travel across the great Argentinian Pampas towards the northern city of Salta, gateway to Bolivia and a great place to discover Argentina’s folklore culture and music. Our journey continues ever higher, into Tupiza with its stunning desert landscapes and on to Uyuni, gateway to the famous Bolivian salt flats. En route to La Paz, we stop at Potosi, the world’s highest city, before enjoying a fantastic 3-day jungle trip discovering anacondas and caimans. Our journey ends practically in the clouds, in the world’s highest capital city, La Paz.

Starting our tour in Rio, sip a Caipirinha whilst enjoying views of the green mountains, coastal rainforest and miles of glorious beaches surrounding the city. A short trip south brings us to Parati, with its charming cobbled streets and colourful houses. Next stop is the pulsating metropolis of Sao Paolo, followed by the green parks and pleasant climate of Curitiba. Enjoy magnificent views of the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls, then head south to discover the historical Jesuit Mission near San Ignacio village. Hopping the border to Uruguay gives us a well-earned opportunity to soak in the thermal waters at Salto, as well as the cultural diversity and white sand beaches of Montevideo. A short ferry ride whisks us across the Rio de la Plata to our last stop, Buenos Aires, where you can enjoy the busy streets, grand avenues and shady plazas of the Paris of South America.

Beginning our journey in La Paz, we wind our way south, making an excursion out onto the famous salt flats before crossing the border into Argentina's wine country. Cosmopolitan Chile comes next, where we take in some of Chilean Patagonia's most stunning scenery. Back across the border in Argentina we head towards the wild Atlantic Ocean in search of local wildlife. Our final leg of the journey brings us to Buenos Aires, aptly named the "Paris of South America" with its tree-lined avenues and cafe society, which makes for a fantastic end to our trip.

Leaving Santiago, we head south to the cooler climates of Patagonia. Traversing lakes and mountains, we arrive into alpine Bariloche then journey across the very centre of Argentina to spot wildlife at the Valdes Peninsula. A short stop in the city that never sleeps, Buenos Aires, gives us a chnace to enjoy cafe society. Our journey continues to the friendly country of Uruguay, before heading to the Brazilian border to marvel at the stunning Iguazu Falls. Heading through Brazil gives us time to relax on tropical beaches before rocking into the city of Rio for a spectacular end to our journey.

This epic journey leads us from Peruvian coast, across deserts, and through high mountain passes. En route, we'll discover the Nazca Lines and go in search of condors at Colca Canyon. We'll hike the legendary Inca Trail to discover the fabled citadel of Machu Picchu, and enjoy the fabulous town of Cusco. Heading across the altiplano, we sail across Lake Titicaca's cobalt blue waters. Continuing south, we enjoy a trip out onto the Salt Flats, then descend into Argentina where we'll travel parallel with the great Andean range. Our last stop in Argentina is the laid back city of Mendoza, surrounded by many fine vineyards. One last mountain crossing brings us to Santiago, where we'll round off our journey.

Salta, home of stunning plazas and churches, is the gateway to arid landscapes reminiscent of the moon, gold and rose coloured gorges and rock formations. Crossing into Bolivia, marvel at the stunning salt lakes and escape from the chill of La Paz to the Bolivian jungle at Rurrenabaque. Experience the cool breeze blowing across Lake Titicaca, then on to lively Cusco. Trek through the mountains to the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu, discover the brilliant white city of Arequipa situated under the watchful gaze of Volcan Misti and cross the arid desert at Nazca before rolling into Lima.

Travelling from the Pacific to Atlantic coasts, we'll discover the highlights of the heart of South America. From Lima, we'll travel down the coast before ascending into the Andes to discover the Inca empire and the magnificent Lake Titicaca.
