Booking Direct vs Travel Agents

Do you think you're saving money by booking direct? Do you think that travel agents add surcharges to you vacation?

While some agencies do add surcharges, we believe in sticking to the original model -- great service and the same price as booking with a tour operator = repeat clients. That's right, we charge the same amount as the tour operators who you may book with directly and we'll send you the invoice upon confirmation to prove it.

The business model has been the same for years -- hotels, car rental agencies and airlines would offer discounted products to tour operators who would package those great rates together. Sure, they sell direct but with thousands of travel agents offering value-added services, first-hand knowledge and support, their best distribution channel is the travel agent. By offering their products through travel agents they obviously sell more vacations and make more money... and they split the profits with the agent when you return.

One of our agreements in the industry is that a tour operator will not discount a product to compete with the travel agent -- meaning that if you purchase a vacation direct, you pay the same rate as booking it with a travel agent! The tour operator simply keeps the commission they would pay us... no discount to you.
